Graded 10 PR 1 by SGC. Pose 377-6. In 1884, with Providence of the National League, Radbourn established a record that can be said with certainty will never be broken. He won an unbelievable 59 games for the World Championship squad. He starred in the 1884 World Series, winning all three games in which he pitched. In an era not noted for strikeouts, Radbourn managed to whiff 441 opposing batters that season (nearly a quarter of his career total). In 11 Major League seasons, he won 300+ games, including a 27-12 campaign in 1890 in the Players League. Radbourn was elected to Baseball’s Hall of Fame in 1939 and is one of (if not the) dominant pitchers of the nineteenth century. The offered memento sports a fantastic frontal image, but technically graded lower due to its reverse. An eye-appealing example, in Poor condition.
