Graded EX 5 by PSA, the lone copy graded by that company. (Competing grading service SGC has holdered five specimens.) Bill Coughlin had a solid 9-year major league career (split between the Senators and Tigers) during which he bacame known as a master of the "hidden ball trick." A strong fielder, the third baseman compiled a .252 lifetime average with 159 stolen bases. The offered entry picturing Coughlin features a nicely aligned portrait likeness of the Washington veteran. Mild corner wear barely affects the high-quality piece's superior manner of presentation, and its back shows a pure and clean, unprinted surface. Excellent condition.
