Graded EX 5 by PSA, the only copy graded by that company. (Competing grading service SGC has holdered just a single, lesser specimen.) An active player from 1891 through 1911 (and Brooklyn's manager for two additional years), Dahlen was one of the period's biggest stars. A World Champion with the Giants in '05, Dahlen was a perennial leader in most of the league's batting statistics. The offered example of Dahlen's rare "New York" E107 portrayal features a nicely centered likeness of the Giants shortstop, with commendable resolution etched into its subtly artistic presentation. Bright, unembellished character distinguishes its unprinted reverse, and mild traces of natural circulation can be seen at the card's corners. A superlative representative of its coveted and sensitive type, in Excellent condition.
