This lot is part of the FINAL offering of 1903 E107 Breisch Williams cards from The Chris Sullivan Collection—click here to read more.

Graded 80 EX/NM 6 by SGC, the highest-graded example among three copies holdered by that company. (Competing grading service PSA has not encapsulated a single specimen.) It must be noted that more than 550 E107s have been validated by SGC, but just one card—a solitary "86"—has received a grading assessment equal or superior to that of the offered collectible. Superb contrast and fine registration highlight this card's civilian-clothed image of the Pittsburgh righthander, which is nicely centered inside four clean, white borders. Mild corner wear largely accounts for the technical assessment, yet the perimeter's uniformity retains an eye-pleasing quality. The cardback's surface exhibits consistent and light, natural toning, and its unprinted surface carries no extraneous markings. The Sam Leever Breisch Williams entry is one of the most scarce of all E107 subjects, an observation substantiated by the fact that its combined PSA and SGC census reports can be tallied on the fingers of one hand. Elite Excellent to Mint condition.
