A World Series for the ages, the showdown between the defending champion Senators and the Pirates went the distance, with Washington jumping out to a 3-1 lead before Pittsburgh retaliated with three straight victories. Max Carey led the charge with a .458 average, 6 runs and 2 RBI. He is joined here by fellow HOFers Traynor, McKechnie, Clarke, Cuyler and Barney Dreyfuss, as well as Frazer, Hinchman, Onslow, Barnhart, Aldridge, Watters, Sam Dreyfuss, Rawlings, Yde, Adams, Morrison, Meadows, Oldham, Smith, McInnis, Bigbee, Thompson, Spencer, Grantham, Austin, Haas, Moore, Culloton, Sheehan, Ens, Wright, Hemsley and Gooch. Although the 11” x 14” photo does not have the image sharpness of a Type I example, it does offer nice black-white contrast and durable studio-stock paper. VG condition with minor peripheral wear and several player-area surface stains.
