An 11-time All-Star, legendary forward Elgin Baylor is often credited as the saviour of the Minneapolis/Los Angeles Lakers franchise (for which he toiled during 13 seasons from 1958-71). The Hall of Famer, who was also selected as a member of the NBA's 50th Anniversary All-Time Team, carried his expertise into the front office after retiring from the court: his 22 years as GM of the Los Angeles Clippers was highlighted by a 2006 selection as NBA Executive of the year. This especially rare and desirable, purple pullover durene garment attributed to Baylor features "Lakers" across the chest in gold-on-white tackle twill and Baylor's number "22" on the front and back in white-on-gold tackle twill. The head and arm openings bear white-purple-gold-purple-white stripe accents. The NOB appears in gold-on-white tackle twill. Baylor has signed the back number in black marker ("8"). Extensive wear throughout. This jersey was made by Tiernan. It has no tail label as Tiernan's measured and made Laker jerseys to specifications, and often did not label the jerseys. A PSA/DNA label has been adhered on the inside back tail. LOA from JSA. LOA from legendary Auctions.
