Graded VG-EX 4 by PSA. In 1934, Goudey's directors hitched their pony to Lou Gehrig. And, as if to out-perform the acclaim, he proceeded to register a Triple Crown. Gehrig was featured twice in the issue and, of course, his prepared "testimonials" appear on the reverse text for most of the card numbers. Against that backdrop, this rendering of the Iron Horse, #61 in the production, ranks among the hobby's favorites. This particular piece has been assessed by PSA to consider uniformly distributed corner wear and a small measure of cardstock toning. The register of the item’s print is utterly above objection. Very Good to Excellent condition.
