In a reversal of fortunes, the 1931 Cardinals avenged their previous year’s World Series loss to the Athletics. Accounts of the deciding Game 7 of the ’31 Series are documented in this offered program which was sold in Sportsman’s Park. Though this game was the clincher, it was poorly attended – only 20,000 fans showed up. The contest amounted to Connie Mack’s last appearance in post-season competition and, conclusively, it marked the end of his second dynasty. This offered program is about GD/VG as we note mild, uniform soiling on the cover and a moderate vertical crease. It is pencil scored for that Game 7.
