Vintage Christy Mathewson New York Giants Pennant Display – with Matching-Graphics Notebook Cover

Smartly frame-displayed is this period tribute to Christy Mathewson. By their imagery, the two featured elements therein – a souvenir pennant and a notebook cover illustration – well complement each other. The full-sized pennant is 28-1/4” and its graphics have a rather Oriental flair. The piece is characterized by a perfect tip, a slightly soiled reinforcement, and no detectable moth or tack holes – ultimately EX/MT. Companion to the pennant is a similarly period notebook cover (sans writing sheets). With its brilliantly colored image of Mathewson, the 8” x 5” cover is aesthetically captivating, though the piece is in about GD condition technically, primarily due to peripheral imperfections. The handsome frame is 41-1/2” x 14-1/4”.
