By the fashionably interlocking characters expressed in this ancient souvenir pennant, we can be fairly assured that it dates to the earliest decades of the 20th Century. From reinforcement-to-tip, this piece measures about 34”, and it’s now mounted in a handsome frame (16-3/4” x 38-1/2”). In the context that there’s probably not another one like it that’s in better condition, we concede that this pennant is in somewhat reduced condition. We report that it has several moth holes, an imperfect tip, and the reinforcement and tethers are mildly soiled. Those charges made, however, this piece is yet much worthy of our fullest admiration – a White Sox relic that dates to at least turbulent times, if not to the formative years of the franchise.
