This is a visually striking pair of bronze figural bookends. The matching, 7"-tall antiques feature true-likeness images of the legendary Notre Dame coach. Although identical from a forward perspective, the objects have different-sized "hollowed-out" areas on their backs, resulting in one weighing in at 2.45 pounds, the other at 4.1 pounds. Remnants of cushioning felt are attached to the bases, and a copyright stamping -- "Copyright - Oct 30 1930" -- appears inside the back of each piece. The heavy bookends have survived the years quite well, and are in beautiful condition with a vintage patina.
