1936 Lou Gehrig and Monte Pearson Wire Photo

From the very earliest days of wire-transmission technology comes this Type III photo of Gehrig and pitcher Monte Pearson after Game 4 of the 1936 World Series. Both victimized Giants ace Carl Hubbell that day, with Pearson getting the victory and Gehrig belting a 2-run homer. The 8" x 10" photo features date-stampings from October 5, 1936, and an AP Wirephoto source stamping.
