From the very earliest days of wire-transmission technology comes this Type III photo of Gehrig and pitcher Monte Pearson after Game 4 of the 1936 World Series. Both victimized Giants ace Carl Hubbell that day, with Pearson getting the victory and Gehrig belting a 2-run homer. The 8" x 10" photo features date-stampings from October 5, 1936, and an AP Wirephoto source stamping. Newsroom handling includes editorial highlights and peripheral light wrinkling and rippling, plus a few small edge tears that are tape-repaired on the reverse. Encapsulated by PSA DNA.
