As shown here, Ruth and Gehrig's contact with each other didn't end at the Yankee Stadium tribute where Gehrig gave his "Luckiest Man" speech. This 7" x 9" photo dates to October 5, 1939 and displays a very clean surface overall with but a small spot of paper loss at lower left. The Acme Newspictures paper caption reads, "BABE RUTH AND LOU GEHRIG BEFORE SECOND SERIES GAME - Babe Ruth (left) with his old Yankee teammate, Lou Gehrig, non-playing captain of the New York Yankees, just before the American League Champions took the field at Yankee Stadium, Oct. 5, in the second game of the World Series. Encapsulated by PSA DNA.
