Presented is an outstanding  complete set of 58 boxing Exhibits. Bearing a 1921 copyright on their reverses, these are uniformly designed as postcards. Each provides a biography and, most often, a career record. A few of these cards' subjects were African-American (Joe Jeannette, Jack Johnson and such), but most of them were Irish immigrants - urban toughs - 'bout eight inches between the eyes. And of course, our favorites are here - John L. Sullivan, Jack Dempsey and Bob Fitzsimmons to cite a few. Highlights include: Carpentier (GD), Dempsey (VG), Fitzsimmons (PR, pin holes), Jeannette (EX), Jeffries (VG), Johnson (GD) and Sullivan (PR, tear and stamp). Grades 12% EX, 55% VG to VG/EX, 33% PR to GD.
