All Star Comics #20 (Spring 1944) - CGC Universal Grade VF+ 8.5 with Off-White to White pages. Dr. Fate and Sandman cameos. Baily and Moldoff art. At the time of this writing, the CGC Census reports that this copy is the third highest graded unrestored copy they have reviewed. Dr. Fate's and the Sandman's reduction to mere cameo roles in this issue was a portent of the changes that All Star Comics would soon be forced to endure. As America was beginning its third full year in World War II, industries were being forced to tighten their belts all the more, and the comic book publishing industry felt the pinch in the amount of available paper. Page counts were reduced, forcing writers to eliminate some heroes' adventures. But for now, the lineup of the JSA is still intact, marking this high-grade copy as a glowing example of one of the last "nine hero" issues.
