Presented is a desirable unopened box of Fleer's Gomer Pyle cards from 1965. Always nostalgia-inspiring and entertaining, souvenirs from this popular military spoof are surprisingly tough to find in today's active hobby market. This is especially true with regard to the display box from the Gomer Pyle card release and the one offered here is pristin in its presentation. The cards are quite entertaining and collectable in their own right, depicting scenes from the television show, but wrappers, packs, and boxes are increasingly hard to locate. The offered 24-Count, 8" x 3-1/2" x 1-3/4" box, showing comedic portrait caricatures of Pyle and Sgt. Carter on the lid and sides, is a visually pleasing showpiece that reflects extremely minor evidence of handling. Condition is NM to MT. Its 24 unopened 5¢ wax packs, tightly sealed in their brightly colored wrappers, grade NM or better and are "like new" in appearance. This is a wonderful unopened survivor, with top-quality original contents and splendid display quality.
