Taken during the couple's happy times, this lovely, official photograph of Great Britain's Princess Diana and her husband, Charles, the Prince of Wales, portrays the central figures in a real-life, 20th Century fairy tale. The image, itself, is one of the largest we have ever seen, measuring 15-3/4" x 19-3/4". Attractive border matting, also surrounding a white, inset-margin area, brings the magnificent display piece's total dimensions to 24" x 30". And, at the open expanse of white just below the couple's likenesses, are the coveted signatures: "Charles" and "Diana," both names written in wide-nibbed fountain pen and underscored in their own hands. The impressive pairing (both scriptings grade "8-9") flanks the inscribed date, "1985," the year the depiction was given to HTV Studios following a royal visit. Very minor fading lends a pleasing tint to the photograph (which grades at least NM) and a trivial wrinkle at the display's left edge affects only the decorative mounting. LOAs from James Spence & Steve Grad and John Reznikoff/PSA DNA.
