Graded NM 7 by PSA. Seldom does one see such extraordinarily nice centering in a "7", or, indeed, in any '52 Topps Mathews! The offered specimen's symmetrical borders are clean and boast bright white character. Mathews' image is pristine, with tremendous registration, and the pleasing cardfront surface is highlighted by the light shimmer of original gloss. The card's corners are sharp and its back is distinctly and vividly printed. Hall of Famer Ed Mathews departed from our midst just recently, in 2001, and we're grateful for mementos of him that display such high quality. A beautiful example of the always condition-sensitive last card in Topps' 1952 set, in top-flight Near Mint to Near Mint-plus condition.
