When it came to policing the hot corner, there were few who could compare to the Orioles' Brooks Robinson. From 1958 through 1975, Robinson reigned supreme at that position, winning a record 16 consecutive Gold Glove Awards and leading all American League third basemen in fielding percentage on 11 separate occasions. Offered is a Baltimore Orioles road jersey worn by Hall of Famer Brooks Robinson in the 1975 season. The gray knit jersey is lettered "Orioles" across the front with the number "5" appearing on the left breast and the reverse. "Robinson" is lettered above the name on the reverse. All letters and numbers are in orange with black trim. A "Wilson 42" label is situated in the collar, and "75 2" is chain stitched in black on a strip tag along the left front tail. Robinson has signed ("8") the jersey in black marker on the right breast. The jersey is original and unaltered, displaying a full season's worth of game wear throughout. 1970's Hall of Famer knits are rarely found this nice, appearing virtually just as it did the moment it last came off Robinson's back in 1975. LOAs from Dan Knoll & Dave Bushing/SCD Authentic, and James Spence & Steve Grad/PSA DNA.
