There's no mistaking Elvis Presley amidst his fellow 189 graduating seniors of Memphis's L.C. Humes High School. The lip curl, trademark coif, and puppy-dog eyes leap out from the oval just right of center in the second row from the bottom. Although not signed by Elvis, 92 of his classmates have penned their names on the reverse, including class president George Klein, who would go on to be one of Elvis's closest friends and a member of his inner circle, the Memphis Mafia. The unframed 11-1/4" x 14" composite photo, which when held at certain angles shows the evidence of its handling near the edges by those classmates, presents as Excellent. Amazingly, it is Elvis' actual Senior Class photo, dating to a time when "The King" was still a prince waiting to inherit his royal throne!
