Includes: 1) a 16" x 20" partly printed appointment of Blair F. Scott to postmaster at Lake City, Michigan, dated February 15, 1902, with its gold seal/red ribbon intact, and featuring a striking brown-ink "9" signature, "Theodore Roosevelt." Condition of the text and signature areas are EX/MT or better, though the outlying areas show discoloration along one side and edge tears—all of which could be framed out for display purposes; 2) a 15" x 18-1/2" partly printed naval commission appointing Lewis Ryan to "Captain in the Artillery Corps," dated December 24, 1907, with its official blue seal mostly intact, and signed, "Theodore Roosevelt" (signature gets lighter, from an "8" for the first name to a "3-5" for the last name). Condition is apparent EX, as this commission is permanently laminated and adhered to an 18" x 21-1/2" wooden backing for display. LOA from James Spence & Steve Grad/PSA DNA.
