In 1994, the Clinton administration started a tradition of giving out glass Easter eggs at the annual White House Easter Egg Hunt. The attractive mementos, roughly the size of large eggs, were also handed out as presidential gifts. It is a yearly tradition that has continued to the present day, with only a small window of opportunity for enthusiastic egg collectors—a few weeks prior to and a few weeks following Easter. This complete run of 11 White House Easter Eggs includes the rarest example (1996) and the next rarest example (2000), both of which had smaller production runs than their counterparts. Also of note, the 2002 egg was achieved in black glass as a memorial to the victims of September 11th. Each specimen has an engraving of the White House facade, sandwiched top to bottom by "WHITE HOUSE" and "EASTER [YEAR]." As for the two very scarce "Helicopter Eggs," they are seldom offered and display the Presidential Seal encircled by "PRESIDENTIAL HELICOPTER SQUADRON - HMX-1," above "EASTER [YEAR]." The bottoms of the eggs are flat for display purposes. Condition is NM/MT and each of the 13 White House Easter Eggs comes in its original box. A unique collection and rarely offered in its entirety!
