Offered is an impeccable Bob Gibson H&B All-Star Game bat used by him in the 1967 "Mid-summer Classic." The 35", 33-oz. model "W212" bat is composed of top-quality white ash and features the name "Gibson" stamped on the barrel in block letters. Stamped above and below his name, respectively, are "All-Star Game" and "1967 - Anaheim." The bat is uncracked and displays only light use in the form of a few stray rack and cleat marks. This bat is not only unique (factory records indicate just one bat shipped to Gibson on 7/7/67), but is accompanied by the provenance of having been originally purchased directly from Bob Gibson. The 1967 All-Star Game, a 15 inning affair that was won by the National League by a score of 2-1, witnessed the pitchers for each club notching a record 30 combined strikeouts. Gibson contributed two of those 30 strikeouts, blanking the American League on two hits during his two innings of work. An unimprovable Gibson All-Star Game bat dating to one of the most memorable games on record. Graded A10 by SCD Authentic. LOA from Dan Knoll & Dave Bushing/SCD Authentic.
