A defensive stalwart and four-time NBA rebounding champion, Dennis Rodman had but two All-Star appearances to show for his efforts. The first such selection (1989/90 season) was undoubtedly warranted, as the Detroit Pistons star was in the process of earning his first of two straight "Defensive Player of the Year" laurels, as well as leading his Motown-based team to its second straight NBA title. Here offered is Rodman's game used uniform from the '90 All-Star tilt, which was held on February 11 in Miami. The "MacGregor" white mesh, size "42" jersey features tricolored (red-white-and-blue) elastic neck and sleeve endings and an NBA logo sewn in tackle twill upon the left breast. appliqued to the front in red-on-blue lettering is "NBA ALL-STAR" and Rodman's number "10," and on the back in like fashion is "10" with "RODMAN" arched above the numerals. Vertically displayed along the lateral edges of the garment are alternating red and blue stars. (The front neck portion has been adhered to the reverse to facilitate previous display.) The size "34" shorts (of identical material) bear single red-on-blue stars and "EAST" vertically upon each leg, red-white-and blue stripes on the elastic waist and leg openings (also adhered shut), and an NBA logo on the lower right leg. Noted in black marker on each item of apparel is "Dennis Rodman - Game used 1989-90 - Defensive Player of the year - All Defensive First team - NBA Champion." The items show light wear and random stains likely present as a result of prior display. The uniform is accompanied by an LOA signed by Rodman. Graded A10 by SCD Authentic. Additional LOAs from Lou Lampson, Dan Knoll & Dave Bushing/SCD Authentic, and James Spence & Steve Grad/PSA DNA.
