Presented is an impeccable, high-grade 1957 Cleveland Indians team ball dating from Roger Maris' rookie season. The creamy-toned OAL (Harridge) ball has been signed in blue ink by 28 team members including Altobelli, Brown, Busby, Colavito, Daley, Farrell (ss, Mgr.), Garcia (on ball label), Gray, Harder (coach), Harrell, Houtteman, Kress (coach), Lemon, Maris, McLish, Mele, Naragon, Narleski, Nixon, Pitula, Score, Stanky (coach), Strickland, Ward, Wertz, Woodling, Wynn and one other (illegible). All of the signatures have been boldly penned, averaging 9"-10". This ball was most likely signed in spring training of 1957 (Sam Mele did not make the team that year, and both Houtteman and Busby were traded during the season), making this not only one of the finest Roger Maris rookie season team balls extant, but also one of the earliest. LOA from James Spence & Steve Grad/PSA DNA.
