In 1971, Marvel Comics Group produced a series of black-light posters featuring their heroes. (Black light is ultraviolet light that, when reflected on a special coating, gives the illusion of emitting light). Presented is a trio of these truly amazing creations, averaging EX condition level, with a few understandable surface imperfections, peripheral wear and pinholes at the corners of all three examples. Highlights include: 1) Dr. Strange - An evil-doer screams his own name in this example, entitled "#4001 Eternity, Eternity," from the Dr. Strange comic book series. Measures 21-1/4" x 33-1/2"; 2) Daredevil - Daredevil finds himself vanishing in this 21-1/4" x 33" exemplar. A 1-1/2"-tear appears at the poster's bottom border, with minor staining on the reverse visible on the front surface under both standard and black-light conditions; 3) Captain Marvel and Sub-Mariner - "... Mar-Vell must perform!!" screams Captain Marvel as he pops Sub-Mariner in the mouth in this 22" x 33-1/4" poster entitled "#4001 Thwoom." Staining on the reverse is also apparent when viewing the image area. Also present is a 4-1/4" crease extending from the left border. As you might have said in 1971—this trio is still groooovy.
