Each card has been graded by PSA. The 6.77 grade point average of this presentation ranks it 5th on the All-Time List on the PSA Set Registry. This scarce 1957/58 Topps basketball series, the company's first attempt to showcase the sport in a major trading card issue, is chock-full of rookies, future Hall of Famers, and short-printed numbers. Some of the basketball card hobby's most desirable items are featured in this assembly, including the set's widely sought-after key card, the rookie card of Boston Celtics Hall of Famer Bill Russell. Poor centering and printing flaws with this issue have haunted quality conscience collectors. As a testimonial to the quality of this presentation, none of the PSA assessments have an added qualifier to the respective grade. Includes: Graded PSA NM-MT 8: 8 cards w/#'s 5 Sharman, 10 Arizin, 13 Schayes, 24 Petit, 32, 33, 43 Hundley and 53; PSA NM 7: 47 cards w/#'s 3, 4, 6, 7, 8, 9, 12, 14, 15 Ramsey, 16, 17 Cousy, 18, 21, 22, 23, 26, 30, 31, 34, 35, 37 Hagan, 38, 42 Stokes, 44 Gola, 45, 47, 48, 49, 51, 52, 54, 56, 57, 59, 61, 63, 64, 66, 67, 68, 70, 71 Twyman, 74, 76, 77 Russell, 78 Lovellette and 80 Schnittker; PSA EX-MT 6: 25 cards w/#'s 1 Clifton, 2, 11, 19 Heinsohn, 20, 25, 27, 28, 29, 36, 39, 40, 41, 46, 50, 55, 58, 60, 62, 65, 69, 72, 73, 75 and 79.
