Unfortunately for the 1919 World Series champion Cincinnati Reds, that stellar season will never be remembered solely for the club's first ever trip to the Fall Classic. Accompanying any thought of the Reds' success will surely by the controversy surrounding their infamous World Series opponents, the Chicago "Black Sox." Offered is a 1919 Cincinnati Reds team photo, featuring the images of 25 members of that year's title-winning squad (Hall of Famer Edd Rousch stands in the back row, and well-centered). The crisp, black-and-white F. Boellinger presentation has captured each player in his full team uniform. Close inspection reveals age-induced defects, but the clarity of the players' images prevails! This impressive survivor retains its overall VG/EX composition. The 8" x 13-1/2" photo is matted onto an F. Boellinger sheet, and has been placed within a 18" x 22" frame. The manufacturer's advertising plaque is set below the superior piece.
