This is a full uncut 1950 Bowman sheet of 36 cards. It includes card numbers 145 through 180, inclusive. Full sheets from early Bowman productions are very rare and should not be confused with the much more common 12 card panels. While this sheet is not awash with stars (the only Hall of Famer is Early Wynn), it is sure to please any condition conscious collector. Uncut sheets normally exhibit a variety of condition disappointments. They were generally produced for proofing and were often mounted in books and stored in the company's files. Because of their unwieldy size, they are usually creased and tattered at the edges. Fortunately this example does not suffer any of these distractions. All of the edges are straight and clean and the corners exhibit a little even wear. The surfaces are very bold with virtually no wear. There is a crease between the Robertson and Leonard cards but it is very light and mentioned only for complete accuracy. This is a wonderful example of Bowman's last unopposed campaign in baseball cards. A nicer sheet is hard to imagine. Grades Excellent to Mint condition.
