Spectacular 1930s Detroit Tigers Composite Panorama with Ty Cobb

Measuring a large 17" x 37", this dynamic composite features 1910s-1930s images of Tiger greats Ty Cobb (sliding, of course), Mickey Cochrane, Sam Crawford, Hughie Jennings and Charlie Gehringer, among others. The matte-finish panorama boasts incredible preservation for a display piece of its size, with an EX/MT matte-finish surface that, while affected by the occasional spot of light discoloration, is miraculously devoid of any creases or tears. According to our consignor, the Motor City composite may have once hung in a Briggs Stadium executive's office (Briggs Stadium replaced the Tigers' former home, Navin Field, in 1938). Nicely matted and framed to dimensions of 24" x 44".
