Presented is a pair of scarce and unusually sized pennants from the 1944 World Series. Not quite the standard size for Fall Classic banners, at 18-1/4" long, this matched pair of World Series issues is especially rare. The St. Louis Cardinals item displays "Cardinals - 1944 - National League Champions" across the center of the piece with the club's logo showcased at left. The St. Louis Browns exemplar features "Browns - 1944 - American League Champions" with the team's emblem imposed at left. Every bit of the heat-pressed characters and graphics present beautifully, and both pennants even retain their original tassels. Each relic displays unobtrusive pinholes at the three corners, yet EX overall condition prevails.
