Mastro Spring 2007

Erected alongside the Chesapeake and Ohio Railroad tracks, Cincinnati's Crosley Field served as the home of the likes of Lombardi, Vander Meer, Kluszewski and Rose for nearly 60 years. Transformed into a lot for impounded vehicles after its successor, Riverfront Stadium, opened in 1970, the former Reds ballpark was demolished in 1972. Hailing from that original Queen City venue, the offered chair is comprised of a three-panel wooden back rest and folding wooden seat—both of which are secured within a metal framework that extends to form 7"-long armrests. Decorated with a vintage coat of orange paint, the item is identified as seat number "5," which is stenciled in black on the upper-most back rest panel. Some paint chipping.
Please note: Due to the size and/or weight of this lot, the cost of shipping may be substantial.
