In defense of their world championship, the 1947 St. Louis Cardinals posed the only real threat to the front-running Brooklyn Dodgers. Posting league-leading totals for hits (1,462), ERA (3.53), and strikeouts (642), the Redbirds fell just short. Offered here is an ONL (Frick) ball signed by 24 members of that Gateway City squad. This clean and creamy sphere features a smooth, virtually unblemished surface and signatures that resonate "9-10" overall strength. Includes: Brazle, Brecheen, Creger, Cross, Dickson, Dyer (Mgr), Garagiola, Grodzicki, Kaufmann (coach), Kurowski, Marion, Moore, Munger, Musial, Papai, Pollet, Rice, Schoendienst, Sisler, Slaughter, Walker, Wilber, Wilks, and one other. LOA from Steve Grad & Zach Rullo/PSA DNA.
