Early and extremely rare wall-mount style rack which can hold up to six of the finest bats in your collection. Still covered by most of the original black paint, the decorative crown pieces which appear as 2-3/4" medallions project from the outermost areas of the cast-iron support. Captured in high relief, each of these medallion-like appendages display the classic Spalding logo of the early 20th Century, further enhancing the rack's vintage look. The piece of wood from which the bats suspend has been replaced, but is fashioned in of solid oak to match the main support of the rack. The bat rack is otherwise in original and unaltered condition. The 6" x 24" mounting plate which anchors the rack to a wall still displays most of the black and gold Spalding manufacturer decal as originally applied. The only example we have ever seen, this fabulous early advertising piece remains fully functional and in Excellent condition.
