In terms of preservation, felt pennants are among the most condition-sensitive of all campaign collectibles on account of their flimsiness, practical display wear, and delicate appliquéd designs. However, this 25-1/4" pennant for 1924 Democratic presidential hopeful John W. Davis eludes the usual trappings of its fragile medium. The magnificent portrait, prominent white lettering, and green felt surface are bright as can be. It is free of pinholes, and the four original tassels remain fully present. Near Mint!
