Contributing to his mound cause during the 2000 season, former Atlanta Braves hurler Greg Maddux wielded the offered Louisville Slugger "L157" signature model bat. Unique to that labeling period, the identifiers include an MLB silhouette logo (between the centerbrand and barrel stampings) and the team name, which appears just below the facsimile signature. To the right of the latter detail, Maddux's black Sharpie signature projects "8-9" strength and is accompanied by his inscription of "92-93 Cy." Employed during a season in which its owner collected fifteen safeties—including his second career three-bagger—this 34", 31-1/2-oz. white ash weapon demonstrates heavy use, with ball, bat-rack, and cleat marks throughout, as well as pine-tar residue, a 6"-long handle crack, and black marker notations of "31" on the knob and barrel end. Graded GU-8 by John Taube. LOA from John Taube/PSA DNA and Steve Grad & Zach Rullo/PSA DNA.
