Presented is a 72-card 1950 W576 Callahan near set, plus two variations and the original box. The Baseball Hall of Fame has always been a popular vacation destination for baseball fans and sports enthusiasts. Starting in 1950, and ending in 1956, the Hall of Fame with Callahan produced black-and-white cards which feature drawings of HOF players. The cards were actually sold at the Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown, to eager tourists and casual collectors who wanted a souvenir. The original box grades VG, is intact and has a name written on it. Highlights include: Cobb (EX/MT), Gehrig (EX+), Ruth (EX/MT), Museum Exterior/"... to all baseball men." (EX) and Museum Interior/1954 (EX+). Missing Baker, Chandler, Dean, Delahanty, DiMaggio, Hartnett, Lyons, Radbourne, Schalk and Vance for completion. Grades mostly EX to EX/MT including a couple slightly lesser. Total: 74 cards.
