Legendary June 2009
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on:
Taking the pennant by twelve games over the Detroit Tigers, the 1946 Boston Red Sox, led by A.L. MVP Ted Williams, battled the St. Louis Cardinals to a seventh contest in that year's Fall Classic. Sadly for the Fenway faithful, the curse would strike again and the Red Sox would lose by one measly run. The offered 1946 Red Sox World Series press pin reflects gorgeous NM condition with spectacular color and enameling. "BALFOUR" is engraved at the reverse, and this memento is complete with original back fastener.
