Presented is a 48-card 1951 Bowman "Red Menace" complete set. This intriguing production fueled the anti-communistic fervor that gripped, and crippled, American society. Senator Joseph McCarthy was just beginning to emerge as the American anti-Communist leader when this edition was released. Bowman's contribution to the era was this series of colorful collectibles depicting vital events, prominent military leaders, and the potential effects of nuclear war. Highlights include: #'s 23 Ghost City (VG/EX), 24 General "Ike" in Command (FR, stamp) and 47 Chairman Mao (FR, stamp). Presents mostly at the EX to EX/MT+ level, but twenty examples bear vintage promotional date stamping ("March 11, 1951") on the reverse, and techincally grade FR.
