Presented is a 200-card 1952-53 R707-4 Topps "Wings" complete set. The same year Topps took the baseball card market by storm, they also offered cards which of the ideal theme to appear during the Cold War. Topps' Wings cards offered large-size, color illustrations of the world's aircraft, along with diagrams on the backs that taught young consumers how to be patriotic "plane spotters." The aviation-themed treasures are seldom offered as a complete set. The items exude the same nostalgic appeal as their baseball counterparts from the era. This release was one of Topps' first concerted efforts to become a force in the gum card market. Grades 9% NM to NM/MT, 71% EX to EX/MT, 20% VG to VG/EX.
