Presented is a trio of 1967 Topps Test "Twiggy" cards, plus the original 5¢ wrapper. These oversized 3-1/8" x 4-3/8" captionless cards featuring black-and-white images are blank-backed. The 1960s market for cards was young boys and a card set with images of a boyish looking fashion model was doomed from the start. Topps didn't have too many inroads to the head shops and fashion boutiques of the late 1960s, and that might have been where this product would have sold best. It's a guarantee that most of their Twiggy cards would still be rotting on the nation's candy shelves even now, had the Topps salesmen convinced enough distributors to give it a shot. The original wrapper grades EX/MT. The trio of cards grades NM to NM/MT.
