Legendary June 2009

Graded EX 5 by PSA. In 1934, Goudey's directors hitched their pony to Lou Gehrig. And, as if to out-perform the acclaim, he proceeded to register a Triple Crown. He was featured twice in the issue and, of course, his prepared "testimonials" appear on the reverse text for most of the card numbers. Against that backdrop, this rendering of the Iron Horse, #61 in the production, ranks among the hobby's favorites. This particular card has been assessed by PSA to consider corner wear and a small measure of uniform border toning. The card concedes a tiny wrinkle at the right edge, but the register of the image area is utterly above objection. Excellent condition.
