Graded EX-MT 6 by PSA. Joe DiMaggio posted tremendous numbers in 1939, finishing the season with 30 home runs and a .381 batting average. The successful year culminated in his team's four-game sweep of the Cincinnati Reds in the World Series. The offered card nicely anticipates that historic "coming of age" campaign for DiMaggio. Its cardfront surface is clean, and all four corners are sharp with whispers of wear visible only at the extreme tips (most apparently at the top-right). On the card's reverse, the upper-case letters of DiMaggio's name headline a perfectly printed bio text. This is an admirable representation of the "Clipper" from the celebrated '39 Play Ball issue, in Excellent to Mint condition.
