Ty Cobb, The Georgia Peach, retired in 1926 with the highest average in baseball history, a record that still stands today. As great as his hitting was, however, Cobb was known more for being the fiercest competitor in baseball history. He never gave an opponent an inch, and he took every advantage he could get. He led the league in hitting 1905-1915 and 1917-1919. Elected to the Hall of Fame in 1936. Signed on the front across his chest, Ty Cobb. A pristine black ink signature. Another Cobb in person - signing prolifically just before breakfast - (and it has been served) - the black ink is the Repidiograph pen style with black India Ink - I hope his eggs stayed warm! One of the nicest we've seen in Detroit Tigers uniform! Mint!
