Very impressive collection of vintage photographs with some major star power with a consistent theme of featuring star players with fans of all kinds in a great variety of settings. The first four are in PSA/DNA Type I holders with accompanying letters of authenticity from them. Those include a cool 1937 Lou Gehrig at spring training with a lot of young fans, 1960 Mickey Mantle with his son Mickey Jr., 1946 Ted Williams with a young boy at Fenway Park (probably his son, too), and 1941 Dizzy Dean with 8-year-old fan on Catalina Island training camp. A fifth photo in PSA/DNA features Babe Ruth in suit and tie boarding a train in 1927 (photo by Roy Jones) with numerous young fans. A sixth also features Babe Ruth posing on the sideline at Comiskey Park with a four- or five-year-old fan that comes with an LOA from PSA confirming Type I (2" x 4"). The remainder are also of the same excellent quality and type but are not in special holders. These include a 1920s Tris Speaker (Philadelphia A's), March 1967 Sandy Koufax at Miami Stadium, 1960s Willie Stargell with fans at Shea Stadium, Warren Spahn in clubhouse with son after 1960 no-hitter, July 1968 Bob Gibson on streets of Manhattan, 1967 Lou Brock with son, 1954 Casey Stengel with Cubs Scouts at Yankee Stadium, 1960 Stan Musial, 1961 Warren Spahn and son, 1951 Leo Durocher and son, Pepper Martin and teammate's son before 1931 World Series, Nov. 1951 Bobby Thomson with five-year-old polio victim, 1947 Ducky Medwick and son, 1942 Jimmy Foxx with son, 1936 Joe DiMaggio with niece and nephew prior to shipping out for his rookie season training camp, 1954 Leo Durocher and son, 1957 Bob Feller signing box full of team-signed balls, 1953 Warren Spahn with Lew Burdette's son, 1968 Lou Brock, 1963 Brooks Robinson, 1967 Tom Seaver rookie season all-star, 1954 Stan Musial, 1950s Roy Campanella, 1963 Warren Spahn, 1945 Joe DiMaggio with wife and son at X-mas, 1954 Willie Mays Day at Polo Grounds, 1926 Rogers Hornsby with son (LOA from PSA), 1937 Gabby Hartnett, 1958 Ernie Banks, 1960 Ernie Banks, and 1963 Ernie Banks. Extraordinary collection with some really terrific scenes and overall consistent quality little-seen in such large and old vintage photo lots.
